Will my city's trash service take a mattress?
Usually, with conditions. Novi's guidelines allow a mattress and box spring on your regular collection day at no extra charge when you schedule it. Bloomfield Township requires mattresses to be wrapped in plastic. Farmington Hills requires plastic wrapping for mattresses with bed bugs. The City of Plymouth charges a special refuse sticker for queen and king mattresses. If yours doesn't fit those rules, or it's upstairs, we'll take it.
Do I need to wrap the mattress in plastic?
Not for us, as long as it's a normal used mattress. If you know it has bed bugs, tell us up front in the form so we can plan for it.
Can you take the bed frame and headboard too?
Yes. Metal frames, wood frames, headboards and footboards can all go in the same trip. Adjustable bases are heavy, so mention them in the form.
What sizes do you take?
All of them: twin, full, queen, king and California king, plus crib mattresses, futon mattresses and mattress toppers.
