Why curbside pickup can't handle an estate
Local bulk pickup programs are designed for a few large items a week, not a whole household. The City of Northville's program specifically excludes basement, attic and apartment cleanouts. Bloomfield Township asks residents to keep bulk items to around two or three per week. In the City of Plymouth, every couch, dresser and mattress needs its own paid sticker. Clearing a full house through curbside pickup would take months and a lot of carrying.

Old paint, chemicals and fuel can't go in the truck. Set them aside and use your community's household hazardous waste program, or ask us and we'll tell you which program applies to that address.
